Look on D Fisher's face last night at ESPYs -- priceless

Post#1 » by GonzoLays » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:53 pm

Anybody see the look on Derrick Fisher's face last night at the ESPYs when Ray Allen was giving the acceptance speech for best team?

Presenter hands Ray Allen the trophy.

Ray Allen: (with a mischevious look on his face, looks the crowd over) "Looks like another win in LA"

{Camera shoots quickly to Derrick Fisher who has a look on his face like someone farted}

Hilarious!!

The funniest reaction was from Michael Strahan

The guy looked angry they didn't win best team, then Ray dropped that line and he was HOWLING

Big three really got a kick out of all the jokes. Pierce still playing the knee thing. :lol:

I don't know why some of these guys showed up, guys like aaron rodgers. :lol: He was invited only to be made fun of because of the whole farve situation. Good sport about it though.

Fisher knows he could have been our backup PG last year, but he went to the Lakers instead. Boston has one of the best Children Hospitals in the world to care for his daughter, but he chose to go to a different city. I think that look had a little bit more "I **** up" in it than I originally thought.

While I do wish he had signed with us I don't think it's really appropriate to bring up his daughter or what course of treatment he feels is best for her.

I don't see that angle at all. The reality is, The Children's Hospital in LA is one of the best in the world as well. LA was also willing to give him the starting job and more money. No way the Cs would have offered the Full MLE for him had he been on the market after the KG trade. Plus, He had already played in LA and won championships. Can't really fault his decision.

Ray made a joke at the Lakers expense and Derek Fisher didn't appreciate it. LA should be pretty hungry for a rematch. Hopefully, The Cs party ends soon and They get back to work.

I didn't say anything bad about the care his daughter is getting in L.A. I only brought it up because his daughter's health played a big part in his decision. I mentioned that we were an option, how he chose the team we beat in the Finals over us and suggested maybe he was thinking he could be up on the stage celebrating with them. I can see how the way the sentences were put together it may have read a bit harsh. The last sentence was only in regards to basketball, FWIW.

I agree. It was a joke, but mentioning his daughter killed it. It's all good, though. I'll just watch the video again and forget all about it. Seeing D-Fish pissed about a lighthearted joke like that is truly hilarious. I only wish Kobe was there so we could see whether he would make the Fisher face or the fake smile he usually puts on for the camera.

That was pretty funny. I think Scal looked like just some dork who ran up there with them.
