Hubie Brown saying Amare wants to follow LBJ/Bosh to NYC

Post#1 » by Radiohead311 » Sat Nov 22, 2008 4:45 am

During the 2nd quarter of the OKC/NOH game, Hubie Brown and Calabro were talking about The Knicks trades and Calabro mentions 2010 and James and Bosh the Hubie says this:

"and also Amare Stoudamire talking, which I find it incredible that he's talking, that he would love to go and play with those guys if they all go to the same team"

dam that would be a younger and better version of the current celtics and a guaranteed dynasty in gotham.

Add Nash for the minimum. :-)

PG Nash / somebody
SG ?
SF - Bron
PF - Bosh
C - Amare

Bench: Chandler/Gallo

add the 2009 draft pick to the mix.
Embiid wanted to win so badly, he deliberately injured Mitchell Robinson.

Classy.

I could see Amare ending up here. Things are a mess in Phoenix and are likely to get worse in the coming years.

They were talking about the Knicks trade for about 2 minutes beforehand because the Thunder NO games was so boring.

Hubie went on a big rant about how Lee will play the 5, Harrington 4, Chandler 3, and so on. And how even though this trade is for 2010, all the guys we got in return are perfect for 'Antonis system. He was talking Knicks specifically.

I though Jalen Rose was talking out of his ass, but Hubie Brown? Hubie is credible.

I think Amare hates 'Antoni now. Though Barsh and LBJ like Mike. My early gut tells me we end up with Barsh, and maybe a Joe Johnson.

Man I'm so exited for 2010. Its gonna be a long wait for us Knick fans. I can bet if we get Bron, Bosh, and Amare that our season tickets wont be affordable unless you're wealthy

Why would Amare hate Antoni? I'd be happy with just Bosh/Wade.

IT's gonna be interesting to see the response Bron gets on tuesday at the Garden. Think there'll be some extra love shown during the intros? Wade is King in Miami, who knows how Amare's microfractured knee will be in 2 more years, it's all about Lebron/Bosh pairing.
Then you'll get the Karl Malone Gary Payton types willing to take less to join them..... Yeah, I can dream....

Hubie said that Amare had made public comments about wanting to follow them, does anyone have a link to what he is referring to?

I would tend to trust a man on his death bed, so I guess Hubie is speaking truth.

this just in!

"ESPN has just learned that the NBA will waive the salary cap for the New York Knicks. David Stern, while donning his vintage Patrick Ewing jersey, added "we've set up polls at NBA.com where Knicks fans can vote for 2010 team from those that make the allstar team.""

if LBJ/Bosh both sign in NY then a 3rd guy will follow suit i'm sure, even if it is for a little less money, 3 max guys is unrealistic, but 2 and borderline is not.
