^^^Amen. What does that mean for our cap? Does it have any effect. Damn this is a crazy deadline for the Kings.

Hmmmm...that is kind of surprising, does this mean the Kings only owe his buyout amount??? If his full salary is on the books for next year that would suck.

Well, people won't have to say "Moore is taking most of Thompson/Hawes minutes!" anymore. I actually thought Moore was solid for us in terms of knowing his role, provided hustle/energy, athleticism and actually vocal leadership. Thanks.

Wouldn't we be anyway since his contract was partially guaranteed?

Mikki Moore, driving to the airport as we blog...

"I found out (he was cut) about 15 minutes ago. I'm on my way to the airport now. I'm just going to say goodbye to my teammates, say goodbye to coach (Kenny) Natt and tell everybody thank you for being true to me. And then I'm going to go to the office and sign papers.

His feelings on leaving Sacramento

"It's both ways. I'm kind of glad that I'm leaving Sacramento because I thought that I was going to make a home here. Especially after having a good season in New Jersey, I thought that they wanted me and needed me here. So I was looking forward to retiring here, but it just didn't work out that way.
"(But) these are the last years of my career, so I've got to get somewhere where I'm wanted. I'm looking forward to doing something."

God - I hope I don't have to watch Booth play a damn minute in a Kings uniform.

I was a HUGE Moore fan. His interview just lets me remember why, he is a true team player.

I'm glad that fool got waived, can't rebound for nothing, a useless power foward......I give it to him though, dude played with energy.

Well, I am happy that we were able to get him off our roster. We just have such a log-jam at the 4-5 that something had to give. Thanks for a nice couple of years and I hope you can land on a contender and help them out!

John Hollinger: (4:15 PM ET ) More Sacto money saving: I'm now reading they'll buy out Mikki Moore, who has only $2 million guaranteed next year if he's waived by draft day. I think he's pretty much a spent force, but a few contending teams will likely bid to get him for the minimum.
