Kidd will go to Cavs

Post#1 » by Al-Haqq » Fri Jun 26, 2009 7:55 am

Rumours coming around Cleveland way keep suggesting that Shaq is not the highlight pick up this year that they have a sure HOF player coming in also. The obvious stand out is J Kidd.

So expect that call in a few days.

Book it.

If so, how do you feel about the Cavs with Shaq and Kidd .... oh Charlie V also wants to come to Cleveland.

... Magic pick up Vince, they will be tough to guard if Hedo stays, meanwhile Celtics are bickering with Rondo and House hasn't decided if he's staying in Boston or testing FA. :-?

Not much mention of Kidd on the Cleveland board.

Mo Williams isn't great but is arguably a better complement to Lebron (and Shaq for that matter).

Cavs can only offer the MLE or do a s&t, anything more than a one year deal could hurt their cap situation for next offseason (as it currently stands they could sign two max players to play alongside Lebron).

I wouldn't be too worried about Charlie V., he'd help their offense but would take away from their strength inside on the defensive end.

Adding Kidd and Shaq for one year doesnt make Lebron want to stay around....ecen if they win a chip next season....the old fellas are gone and Lebron is left with nuffin again

Cleveland would remind me of the Lakers when they signed Payton and Malone.

How much better a player is Jason Kidd at this point than Delonte West?

It would seem that teams last season all saw what Boston did with a tough team defensive scheme and balanced offensive attack and they copied it and won 60+ games and got by Boston but didn't get by the Lakers. Now they are screw defense we need enough offense to score 140 points even we are older than dirt and can't stop anyone.

If I was running the Cav's I would be looking to get Trevor Ariza or Odom out of LAL not Kidd out of DAL were he is likely staying. That is one nonathletic line up outside of LeBron.

To be honest the guy that would scare me if he went to CLE is Ron Artest that is the piece, minus the crazy, they are missing.

He'd have to be the worst defender in history because Cleveland's interior defense was already absolutely dreadful. I'm not sure Ilgauskus and Varejao could stop me on a double team in the post.

Ummm, that would be a great signing by Cleveland. Hope it doesn't happen.

I guess they couldn't get Gary Payton or Sam Cassell?

Sheed will go to Orlando then.

Howard
Sheed
Lewis
Carter
Nelson

Cleveland nor Boston can beat that.

Orlando has some payroll issues. If they try to resign Torkuglu at $10 Mil and keep Gortat at MLE money, their payroll will be above $90 Mil with only 11 players signed. If they go after Sheed instead of Torkuglu, then it's still $85 Mil. I think Tork's gone and no Sheed.

But they'll still have Mike Nesmith, Mickey Dolenz, and Davy Jones right?

Do you remember how KG man handled sheed in the ECF last year? Carter and lewis are as soft as they come. All the skills and not the attitude to take over the game when needed.
