David West injury scare

Postby kgnwally on Wed Oct 21, 2009 3:32 pm

According to Byron Scott, David West suffered an injury to his shin or ankle during Wednesday's practice.

The exact nature of the injury is unclear, but the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that West "limped noticeably" on his way to the locker room. Scott isn't expected to address West's status again until Thursday, so fantasy owners will have to wait and hope the forward won't be out long.

I have a draft tonight at 11 and am looking to pickup David West to team with cp3. if you hear any updates at all i would really appreciate if you guys could fill me in. thanks a bunch!

Hopefully it's nothing serious. And I'm glad it's not his back.

Who's talking all star game? No one saw him making it the last 2 seasons either. I know people get all upset about West making the All-Star games but obviously the coaches appreciate his game even if the fans don't. He's not flashy. He's quiet and doesn't get the ESPN highlights so fans don't think he's worthy. Especially fans of other teams who don't pay much attention to him until he kills their teams on any given night. And even then they think some 'scrub by the name of David West' just killed their team. He probably won't make it this season though but who knows. A lot will depend on how the team is doing at the time I'm sure. The competition in the West is getting much stiffer.

I also heard the JuJu Wright cut his practice session short with a sore right knee. Any more info on that? doesn't sound too serious but I have no idea. I hope the organization takes the proper precautions as the injured guys look to return to the court. I would much rather start the season with a few guys on the bench, than end the season with guys on the bench.

Nothing new on Wright. He hurt his knee trying to block a shot. They go so d*mn hard in practice. I swear I think Scott is a drill sargent running a boot camp. I believe I heard on the news though that he was a bit sick today along with CP. CP also sat out of this mornings practice with flu like symptoms. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see West, Julian or CP tonight. Ike Diogu is supposed to finally hit the court tonight though. Let West sit out and let Ike get some of his minutes.
