Andre Miller Riding The Bench !

Postby mrfantast1c on Wed Oct 28, 2009 11:51 am

I was looking over the box scores from yesterdays games, and surprisingly the blazers decided to start steve blake over andre miller. To be fair, he did end up with 26 mins, but still he came off the bench under steve blake. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

ITK9: Believe that however long you wish(the entire season).

Andre Miller CANNOT play with Brandon Roy. Because Miller is a ball-hog.

We don't have to deal with that problem anymore.

Ball hog??? So when a team struggles on offense and someone actually puts them back in the game, you call them a ballhog.?

I'm not sure why this seems to be a source of joy. I mean, we're typing from the bench, right? Miller's a slow starter, always has been. And the beat goes on.

that's all you can expect from dedicated.andre miller has a huge apg career stat and he scored more for us because we were lacking a scorer.

You can see by the box score that they went small most of the game. Something's gotta give, meaning someone will be losing playing time on that team.

History is history. Wanna know the last time Miller hit 8 APG? Denver.

Denver didn't have a bunch of prolific scoring(Reason they got A.I). But Melo could play OFF the ball. Just like Iggy could play off the ball.

Roy doesn't. Roy is the true Scottie Pippen. He needs the ball.

So does your 6'2 mancrush.

Roy is a far, far better ballplayer. So you start Blake, who's a better PG fit.

Blake does everything better or the same as Miller.

I havent seen Blake D yet but i doubt it can be worse tha Millers. The only thing Miller might have on blake is leadership and that "put the team on there back" factor. However, that wouldnt matter anyways seeing as Brandon Roy is the leader of the team.

The only thing Miller has on Blake is scoring :D. That's why Miller is better suited to being the sixth man.

Miller is gone. Why not stop putting him down? He played here and gave it his best. It was not his fault we didn't do better.

Yeah, 7 assists is bad, but 2...Wow!

I must say, you've done it again.

Denver? The same Denver that he got traded to Philly from? So he averaged 8 assists/game before coming to Philly, then had to score more while he was there, so averaged slightly less assists.

Unless I'm missing something, you just proved ITK9's point.

That excuse was viable in 2007, when we only had maybe 3/4 players offensively.

But when you have EB/Thad/Iggy. I expect the assists to go up. Not down(He averaged 5.8).

But I wonder if even 2007 can be considered viable now? Because Brand went down with injury and Andre Miller started passing more! What a freaking concept from him.(He probably still doesn't get it).

Either that 2007 team got better from shooting(Thad was average from 3, let's be real). Or Miller passed the ball more. Take your pick.

It's obvious. The ballhog stopped hogging, we started winning.

He's a ballhog. The stats show it, the damn games we watched showed it. The "no offense" excuse is no longer viable when you consider he averaged 7 assists with the 2007 team.

He's a ballhog loser and it shows throughout his career. If you're a Good PG, your team wins games.
See: Ty, Lawson. Kid might very well be Denver's sixth man and is spelling Billups excellent.
