I knew it. Just look at his stats after the first couple games. He was also a potential pick because of his athleticism so he will only improve.

Curry's going to be a very nice pick. I wish Jennings all good luck, but I'm not regretting the Curry pick at all.

Just what we need, another score first big mouth head case guard. Try actually watching basketball sometime, it pays to get your head out of fantasy boxscores.

I like both. That being said Curry has more of a winner's mentality.

I watched the Pistons-Bucks game replay on LP just now. Was watching BJ especially.

He put on a scoring display in the 3rd but part of it was an outside shot going down that he is normally not known for, so I didn't take a lot away from that except that when his confidence gets going he can be a force - like most young nba guards.

What impressed me was his defense. He played every bit as hard on defense as Curry does, and he has more speed to work with. He even had success guarding bigger shooters who tried to shoot over him from the perimeter. He did that by anticipating the shot correctly and getting up with perfect timing to bother the shot. I'd say he was ahead of Curry defensively on the perimeter. He also broke up a fast break by picking Gordon's pocket... despite Gordon trying to go behind the back to avoid it. He's got Monta-like speed and quickness.

On the offensive end the stat-line is a bit misleading. I don't think he is going to be raining 3's all season, at least not successfully. But he is very good already at finishing inside, and he doesn't have to get to the rim to do so. If the defender goes to the rim when he drives, he has an excellent lefty teardrop. It was going down and it was no joke - looked really smooth. Supposedly he worked on that all summer.

I think on another team he would have fewer points and more assists. The Bucks bungled almost every pass he gave them. But he is clearly behind Curry in this department. He had some nice looks and is willing to share, but doesn't yet have the vision Curry does.

I didn't see any signs of a poor attitude. Skiles was impressed, and congratulated him, giving him a curtain call substitution out of the game in the final seconds.

I need to see more of Jennings to get a handle on how good he might be. So far he looks like a significant nba pg prospect.

I think that Jennings would have been a disaster if we drafted him. He needs to be under a discilpined coach and system (Skiles is the perfect disciplinarian). Turned loose in our "helter-skelter" system, and with all the bad examples we have, he'd be lost. I think Curry, because of his self-discipline, control and extremely high basketball IQ was probably the best pick we could possibily have made.

The other thing to consider with Jennings is if we would have drafted him, would be the Nellie rookie factor. Curry is probably one of the few (if any) picks out there would have been able to get immediate pt as a rookie playing for Nellie (particularly with Monta back). When you think about it, what Curry has done thus far is next amazing considering how difficult it is for a rookie to play under Nellie, especially as a starter.

I also watched the Bucks Pistons game. I was glad to see that he has the looks of a PG. He was definitely getting his teammates involved. When he got hot in the third he called his own number. That's fine but those shots needed to go in, and well he sunk them. He also has that nice floater in the lane, which is very Juan Carlos Navarro of him. His defense was more ballhawking than anything else. His long arms allowed him to poke the ball loose from the defender a couple of times.

All in all I think Jennings was a steal at #11. I'm fine with the Curry pick for now, but the Knicks missed out on a PG they could use.

Sarah Palin's book is selling at close to free after the quick public ascension before the big let down.

That's what happens when a deperate, incompetent, ideologically vacuous institution picks the sexy attention-grabber for its headline ticket hype.

Curry:Jennings = Nash:Marbury. You made the right pick.

Lol. Really simplistic, but not even close. Jennings IS a point guard. The problem is that the rest of the Bucks are not that talented.

Jennings is closer to a streak shooting Rondo than to Marbury. Go watch the Philly game if you don't be believe me.

I would say that both teams made the right choice. Curry and Jennings could end up being Co-Rookie's of the Year.

Even with Jennings being a year younger than Curry, I would expect Jennings with his Euro experience to be more NBA ready than Curry because of it. I'm not sure which one I would have taken, but I do like the two inches Curry has over Jennings, more so than Jennings being a year younger.

I agree with this post. That said, Curry has better PG skills than I thought. He sees the floor a lot better than I thought he showed at Davidson and knows how to avoid telegraphing passes. I was a big proponent of drafting Jennings however, and so far Jennings still looks like the better pick to me for THIS team. Dubs need a leader and a someone with all-star potential. I know its early, but everyone on the Bucks board is gushing about Jennings' leadership qualities in addition to his game.

Honestly, I am cheering for the Warriors to lose so we have a better shot at the John Wall sweepstakes. The Dubs are not going to make the playoffs, so why bother cheering for them to win if that only takes us to yet another late-lottery pick? Everyone knows that the best players in the NBA are John Wall is going to be the next D-Wade so here's to a 60 loss season.
