Why is Earl Clark not playing?

Are we seeing another Alando Tucker situation??? I mean Clark is very talented and should be playing at least 15 min a game. I hope Gentry is not becoming another D'Antoni

If Gentry was like Mike D, we would see a rotation of 6 people. Even with our current lineup. He is not playing much cause he is to timid I think. You can see it. I think we are trying to get Amare as much playing time as possible in order to get him into the groove of things. Thats why w/ our 20 pt lead on GS the other night we kept our core group of guys in w/ 7 mins left.

Amundson is beasting. Let EC sit and develop him slowly. He'll have his time eventually. Who knows he might be our starting PF next year

We've played 3 games. I'm sure as the season progresses he'll get more minutes. He's timid but that's because he's a rookie. Once he gets his confidence going, gets used to the NBA game and starts knocking down that midrange jumper he'll be fine

On second thought I guess I give Gentry credit for at least playing him, even if he gets 5 minutes per game his rookie year that's better than when D'antoni was coach. I don't think D'antoni even played Hill yet in a game.

Dudley is shooting like 35% with all the open looks he's getting and Amundson can't score period. Clark's not the best shooter but no reason he can't put up about 5-10 points in the same playing time Dudley and Amundson are getting.

Youve got to be kidding me. He's has played more than ANYONE predicted in the first 3 games. When he came in at the first quarter the other day my eyes almost popped out. He's a flippin rookie on a team full of vets and hustle players! Lock this thread.

yeah he's a rookie. shows you how much of a difference Gentry has on the team than D'antoni did. Mike's 7 man rotations were so detrimental to the health and freshness of the team. You can't run guys full speed 82 games a year playing 35 40 minutes a game. They break down eventually.

Kudos to Gentry for playing Dudley, Dragic, Amundsen and Clark. Their defense certainly impacts the game. I hope dudley gets it going offensively we need 6 to 10 points a game from him

He is playing. He is a rook, as the 10th man on this team. Also, when RoLo comes back, that is going to cut what is left of his mins out.

Duds and Lou are hustle guys that play D and give this team a spark in energy. I think Clark will get mins some games and others he will get DNP. He is rebounding and playing solid D, but his O is not there. He needs time to develop and I think Gentry will give him mins. I also think Tragics mins will go down a little bit because J-rich is back and barbs will be getting more mins at the PG position.

So far this season, eastside, "Tragic" as you call him has been Dragic. He hasn't been bad at all. In fact last night I watched him work with stoudemire off the pick and roll feed him a bounce pass for an and one opportunity for Amare. Give Dragic some more time we can't knock the kid until the end of his third year really. If he's not worthy of an extension then we go from there. But he still needs time it's his 2nd year only his 2nd year in a foreign country he'll get it eventually. At the very least he provides a guy who can stay in front of his man. Dragic's defense so far has been good.
