OT : Its started already in Memphis

Gay orders a serving of OJ's ass - hold the Mayo

Given Gay hasn't been able to reach terms with Memphis , and just supposing Deng was to be moved for say Boozer....

Is Gay a more achieveable option for us in 2010?

Does he fit this team better ( or rather Derrick Rose ) at the 3 than Luol ?

What started? What is 'it'?
The Bulls (and Bears) will win most of their home games, and lose most of their road games. Please be advised, and overreact accordingly. :)

If a second year player has to get on you about getting back on defense, I'm not sure I want that player on my team..

And good for O.J Mayo not afraid of being vocal and trying to become a true leader of that team..

As to your first point who is to say that he was directing it at Gay ?

As to your 2nd that could be more the issue. Agree if OJ is speaking up but Gay may see himself more in that role and may not appreciate OJ's style

Just speculation of course

But as anyone can see its a pretty volatile chemistry the Griz have going on given the composition of their team

Scoring 40 points making O.J. Mayo feel his oats a bit?

Gay resenting Orange Juice Mayonnaise anointing himself a leader. Can't wait for Iverson to join this fun bunch.

Is Mayo even that good at defense for him to be preaching like some sort of defensive specialist?

The Evidence, I'm really happy for you. I'll let you finish, but the Memphis Grizzlies are one of the greatest NBA Live teams of All-Time.

Scott Nadler of Draft Express wrote:Mayo’s commitment and excellence on the defensive end has been very impressive for any player, let alone a rookie. It’s rare to see him out of a stance as he stays low and pressures whoever is in his way. He never gives up on a play – always contesting shots even when beat or late to close out. He takes players out of their comfort zones, by bodying up to them, being physical and taking away their strengths. When bigger guards try to post him, he’ll make them pay by pushing them away from the basket, nullifying their height advantage. He does all of this without fouling, (2.2 fouls a game) which shows his understanding of how to play on this side of the court. That ease that he plays with on offense is transformed to aggression and feistiness on the defensive end.

This picture was preceded by 10 minutes of scuffling as O.J. Mayo and Allen Iverson fought over who got to hold the ball.

This just might go down as the coolest team of all time. Illest. Illogicalest. You name it. TBH, I been using them in NBA2K10. Alley-oops and threes all day.

Bulls were not going to deal Deng for Boozer. KC Johnson, in his first mailbag of this year, mentioned that the Bulls would not give up Hinrich for Boozer. Deng isn't going anywhere short of LeBron James.

Rudy Gay has the skill-set albeit the shaky defense to be a perfect fit on this roster at SF.

Rudy Gay has come down to earth since what looked like it might be a breakout 2nd season. He's a good player, and he's probably a better fit for us than Deng b/c he can hit 3-pointers, but he's certainly not worth breaking the bank. If we could trade Deng straight-up for Gay on a comparable contract that would be fine, but I would put the chances of that happening at somewhere near 0%.
