With the heart and effort the Jazz players showed tonight at home may as well blow up the team and start over. I dont see this team being more then a first round exit for years to come. So my plan cut salary and get what draft picks you can. Maybe a few years in the lottery and we may have players that want to play hard and try to prove something, thats better then the over paid no heart roster we have now.

Honestly, lets say the Jazz don't improve on the road and turn in another 17-24 road record, which very well could happen, and continue to play like they have at home so far they could easily be on the outside looking in come playoff time. They are still going to get 40+ wins, but in the West you may have to win 49 games to make the playoffs and this team doesn't have that in them right now.

The Jazz owe it to the Wolves but it's lottery protected so if the Jazz miss the playoffs they'll keep the pick.

I thought that the Jazz were playing inspired defense in the 3rd quarter. Seemed like they just ran out of gas in the 4th.

I still don't get why people want to blow up this team. We need tinkering and not much else. I honestly don't think having both Boozer and Millsap at PF is conducive to our production from that position. I'd take about anything for Boozer because it'd simplify a lot and with knicks pick it wouldn't be too difficult to fill any void in our roster.

Nice to see the ability to play defense though.

I thought the Jazz showed they could play D at some points during the game when they were down. But then they got desperate on the offensive end and threw up some wild shot. This team takes things for granted. They think they're better than they actually are. They think they can turn it on at any time and win games. They can't.
I wanna say that this game was a wake up call. That things will change now that they realize they have to work hard every night. But th same thing has happened in the past 2 years and everything remains the same. I'm already preparing for a long season and the 10th and 15th pick in the draft.

Good thing for the Jazz the 2010 draft will be loaded at PF. Memo and Millsap will be ok in the frontcourt but they need to add an athletic PF next offseason.

Has anyone else noticed the near total loss of the pick and roll in the offense? Or posting up our bigs?

I wouldn't be surprised if we post up Deron and Brewer more often than we post up Booze, Millsap or AK. It just seems like our bigs are getting the ball 15+ feet out when we should be pounding the ball inside on the block. Does someone have the games recorded that could go back and check how many times we posted up our bigs each game compared to how many times they took mid-range/outside shots? Or how many times our bigs actually did something productive when we posted them up?

DWill has been doing too much penetration and was forcing shots last night. It didn't help that he can't buy a f**king call to save his soul, but the fact remains that he has been too shot happy so far. Boozer should get at last 10 paint touches, and we should be running the high P'n'R with him and Deron 20-25 times a game. For whatever reason, we have gone away from both. Its not coincedence that our offense has been lackluster.
