Anyone Think legs has been the Issue?

Postby Galvationknicks on Tue Nov 03, 2009 11:41 am

I've watched every pre-season game and game thus far and the flow of the game has been getting better. I thought in the pre-season we looked tired and thats why our shots didnt fall. It might have been training camp doing it to our guys. Watching these 4 regular season games it seems as if the flow and legs of our guys is more fluid in the past 2 games. Gallo still seems as if he hasnt gotten his legs yet. As we get in more NBA ready shape i think its normally by 10 games most teams got there NBA shape. I think well be better then what we've shown so far as long as we take the best shotselection we can.

When nate is back I think we shouldnt play nate with Al and JJ these 3 cause the most problems with silly passing and TOs and they stagnate the flow. I love Al coming off the Bench but when nate is back it will be the 2 of them with JJ probably being in the second unit together I see bad news if that happens. Theres gotta be a way to limit there time together.
Im still hurting from the Ewing trade. Worst trade in Knick history!!!

For Gallinari? Yeah. Definitely not being in condition negatively impacted how he looked in preseason. As far as everyone else? Don't think so but could be (maybe Chandler who was recovering from ankle surgery I believe). But it really shouldn't. The Knicks are a young team overall. If this were the Celtics or the Spurs then I can understand but it really is hard to accept a young team like this not having their legs while other teams in the NBA seem to be hitting full stride from day one. And I don't really think legs is the reason for the 1st 3 games where they came out flat. If legs were a problem then they would have stayed flat instead of storming back like whriling dervishes the last 2 games.

I know for a fact his legs were an issue in the last game, you could see it in his shooting for. He had no lift and tried to compensate with his arms.

Yes But Coach Ds camp is harder then most other NBA coaches. I didnt think it was the only reason but it did contribute. I think legs hit Duhon, Gallo , Chandler, Nate, Hughes. Duhon looked like the Duhon from the 1st half of last season and the other 3 games he seemed flat and slow. You are dead right on Gallo. Nate to me hasnt been anywhere close to the nate of last year he was missing shots all over the place. Also the same on chandler with the ankle surgery he may just be getting his legs back. Hughes seemed flat to but his shot always look flat having the 2 games off may have helped him. Since our main guards, Gallo , Chandler seemed flat for the most part i think it contributed to the way the season started.
