ESPN Classic tomorrow: Heat-Mavs game from '04

Postby salqaddoumi on Tue Nov 03, 2009 4:31 pm

Just a heads up, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on ESPN Classic tomorrow they are showing the Mavs-Heat game from March 26, 2004.

Watching that team on their late season run never gets old.

That's the Rafer Alston game.

Dallas was a powerhouse that year and we were up and comers.

sweet.

It really is amazing to see how much Wade has bulked up when you watch his rookie year games. He really didn't have much muscle mass at all back then and he's ripped as hell now.

Shows you how hard the guy works in the offseason.

Even looking back at pictures when they won the ring Wade looked much skinnier than he does now.

Just finished watching it off my DVR, so many memories from such an exciting season. The ESPN commentators were raving about how good Wade was and how he was unfortunately being overshadowed by Melo/LeBron and saying the Heat would be a contender in a few years.

George Karl was one of the announcers, lol. I had completely forgotten he worked for ESPN in between coaching jobs.

I watched that game flying into Miami on a JetBlue flight, and when that shot went down you could hear the entire plane celebrating.
it was pretty awsome
