That right there is absolutely ridiculous, and I believe every word of it.

That explains night like last night, where every call is of the WTF variety.

I usually don't complain alot about refs but last night was insane.

They were pounding Dwight all night and he hardly got any calls.

Dwight and Gortat fouled out with 5 mins left. Dwight only played 16 mins.

Almost every single time we drove to the hoop - offensive was called, almost everytime they drove and missed they got calls. Alot of late fouls called on us too.

They got to the line 30 times we did 16.

I am sure this did go on, however last night most calls were correct. Every time Marcin went for an offensive rebound he pushed in the back very stupid plays. 3 of Dwights calls were correct as well and 3 of them were absolute bogus. JJ's calls were also correct calls as he was often late covering Ben's Js.

But during the Cavs games in the semis I could have written this book just based on the calls James was getting. Stern has to pull his head out of his **s unless he is getting a cut.

I am sure that a lot of people here would agree with me and ask what game were you watching, because it really doesn't sound like you were watching what we all saw.

Does this entry sound like something we all saw last night

"Of course, Stafford had some friends in the league, too. I worked a Knicks game in Madison Square Garden with him on February 26, 2007. New York shot an astounding 39 free throws that night to Miami's paltry eight. It seemed like Stafford was working for the Knicks, calling fouls on Miami like crazy. Isiah Thomas was coaching the Knicks, and after New York's four-point victory, a guy from the Knicks came to our locker room looking for Stafford, who was in the shower. He told us that Thomas sent him to retrieve Stafford's home address; apparently, Stafford had asked the coach before the game for some autographed sneakers and jerseys for his kids. Suddenly, it all made sense."

I know after I read it I said that's what happened to the Magic and we barely lost.

I've read that excerpt before and when I see games refereed as bad as it was yesterday it's like I know that there some hidden agenda. Dwight is guarding Ben Wallace, probablly the least offensive of any center in the NBA and Dwight fouls out, Gortat fouls out, and Wallace grabs 10 rbs.

The only team that scares me are the 3 refs of an NBA game. For some reason I wouldnt be surprised if they handed the EC championship to Boston. It also wouldn't surprise me if the refs want Orlando to lose to an inferior team in the playoffs and make it happen. I don't want to be a conspircy theorist but these excerpts make it impossible.

I said this in the other thread but I believe what Tim said because I find it hard to believe one ref whose working with two other refs can dictate a game like he did. If the other refs "weren't involved" then why employ three to do a game if it is so easy for one to call it and the others won't challenge the calls.

Bull crap. Gortat had position on those rebounds. To sell the foul, all they have to do is jump forward instead of straight up and it looks like they got pushed out of the way by the player behind him.
Lebron James as he is attacking the basket vs. Gortat: "I immediately regret this decision!"

As I recall ref #64 was involved in most of the bogus calls if not all.

Im just being fair. I am not good and copying and pasting clips, but if you have Tivoed the game go and see again. On Dwight's last foul on Bynum he was staning straight up but his left arm got him and was a correct call, the offensive on Kwame was a horrible call and a flop. JJ kept running through screens to find Ben and was often late in attempting to put a hand up. Again there were many garbage calls that made me scream also but this loss was not on refs alone. We did not move the ball nor were we attacking the basket we settled for jumpers all game long. that explains the no free throws in the whole of first half.

I already posted this is the game thread, but....

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore?gid=2006121119

Scroll down and look at the refs....

Tim Donaghy. Joe Forte. Eli Roe.

We had Forte and Roe last night.....

Look at Dwights foul numbers in both of these games....

Last night, fouled out in 17 minutes.....

In '06, fouled out in 19 minutes.

Same friggin refs.
Before the game, Perkins was asked his impression of facing Howard after he won the gold medal. Perkins replied, “What’s his impression of me after I won the ring?”

IIRC all of the 6 fouls vs PHNX were offensive making it even more "believable"..

I watched this entire game and all I saw were the Orlando Magic chucking up three point shots. In fact 35 3PA was the most that a Detroit Pistons opponent has put up at a Piston's home game......ever. (According to the broadcasters)

I think that it is so typical that when a team losses the fans blame the refs. It is so easy and it comes off as so childish. Fans can't just deal with the loss and just move on. Some fans also look at the box score without even watching the game and say "oh wow this game was called so lopsided". Which means it is fixed. Well, the fact of the matter is the Magic were not driving the ball AT ALL. While the Pistons were being aggressive taking it to the basket.

Look at the difference in the shot charts. The a little less than half of the Magics shots are around the 3PT line while all but six of the Pistons shots were from inside the 3PT line. Ryan Anderson went 1-11?

http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/shotchart ... =291103008

The Magic have a hard time beating the Pistons for some reason. What are the Magic 0-7 in the last 7 games or something like that? (Not sure.) Which is why Magic fans always seem to be extra upset when they lose to the Pistons. Let's just hope for the Magic fans that they can beat the Pistons on Friday. They is no reason why the Magic should lose this game. Well, the Pistons had no business beating the Magic on Tuesday either. Good luck. And remember the Refs and injures are NEVER an excuse. Excuses are for losers. Just deal and move on.

This game was a shame for the NBA I'm still furious about it. A fact people are overlooking is that the refs changed the whole dynamic of the team taking Dwight out of the game. Dwight is the one creating so many of our open shots just by attracting double and triple teams.

This game was worked. To me there's no doubt about it. It's a business and that showed big time last night. Call me a homer or whatever but I've seen enough of this rigged NBA reffing to know that it's all about the benjamins. Look at the Boston-Chicago series last year, Orlando-Cleveland and worst of all Sacramento-LAL back in 2002 (?)..

And you know what, I think our players know this too. The headshaking in disbelieve by Dwight, Gortat and Barnes showed me enough..
