question about team and dirk

Postby LuvOnTheRun on Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:58 am

i haven't been watching a mavs game since long time. My question: Are the Dallas Mavericks and Dirk on the decline? Many players are over 30 and past their prime. What about health issues? Is Dirk still the go-to-guy?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah cuz players on the decline increase their scoring to 29.8 PPG, their rebounds to 9.8 RPG, and blocks to 2.3 BPG.

Its been 4 games, lets not overreact, but 4 games into the season and yes Dirk has not declined.

But his effort on defense is what has suprised me the most so far, I dont know if its the addition of Marion making it easier, but can he keep this up for 98 games is what i'd like to see.

Kidd and Damp are in heavy decline.Josh, Dirk.Marion, Terry are at the peak/topping out of thier careers. JJB, hump, Ross, SIngelton, Carroll, and Gooden are role players who have several years to go in the right situation. Roddy is the only unproven youth, and Tim Thomas and Shawne are wastes of space. I would contend that Dirk's 29 int he 4th last noght shows that , yes, he is the go-to guy in Dallas

Don't be a dumb ass. Dampier is not in heavy decline. You obviously have not been going to the games this year if you really believe that. Kidd has peaked but he is not in any sort of major decline either. And you can not make the opinion yet that Tim Thomas is a waste of space when he has yet to play a game as a Maverick. If you want to make that opinion about Carroll I think everyone would agree. He has been given an opportunity to produce and has been a failed bit.
