The guy hadn't missed a game in how many seasons? Then out of no where he's out for multiple games? At first I didn't think about it, but after seeing the wiretap, and seeing some of these trade ideas (LAC, etc...) the idea has crossed my mind.

Is this just a precautionary rest for Tay, or is he on his way out? Or is he actually injured?

Dumars' denial means nothing to me. I'm sure he's talking to several GMs about Rip and Tay - it just makes sense if you're rebuilding. At this point if we trade them both for TMac, I'd be happy. Houston gets some quality players, we get a huge expiring (and would probably do an early buyout once he gets back to playing). Our record this year would suck, we'd get a great draft pick in a strong draft, and we'd have some more cap space this offseason, and hopefully Joe would put it to good use this time
