So let's be honest here, is Tayshaun on his way out?

Postby The Webb on Wed Nov 04, 2009 2:47 pm

The guy hadn't missed a game in how many seasons? Then out of no where he's out for multiple games? At first I didn't think about it, but after seeing the wiretap, and seeing some of these trade ideas (LAC, etc...) the idea has crossed my mind.

Is this just a precautionary rest for Tay, or is he on his way out? Or is he actually injured?

Who knows. Iknow he's been banged up a little, but nothing that should have kept him out of any games. The timing seems really weird.

yes, lmao... yes to what? The over all question (Tay being on his way out?).

Honestly, I could care less either way. I wouldn't mind seeing him moved if the price is right.

It seems odd that we haven't heard any comments. Rip has kept his mouth shut too. I don't know... I'd be so excited if we packaged them or one of them with Maxiell for a legit big man.

I have a hard time buying into the fact that someone's willing to take on Maxiell's contract.

*Also, sorry for the duplicate topic, I hadn't read Zeebs.

Dumars' denial means nothing to me. I'm sure he's talking to several GMs about Rip and Tay - it just makes sense if you're rebuilding. At this point if we trade them both for TMac, I'd be happy. Houston gets some quality players, we get a huge expiring (and would probably do an early buyout once he gets back to playing). Our record this year would suck, we'd get a great draft pick in a strong draft, and we'd have some more cap space this offseason, and hopefully Joe would put it to good use this time :-)

It is very suspicious....

has anyone else in the league been kept out because of injury

All things considered this would probably be the quickest route back to contention

Tmac to Detroit
RIP to Houston
Boozer to Houston
Prince to Utah

Alright I take offense to that comment. Tayshaun is the "Iron Man". He's played in how many consecutive games? Then out of no where (and yes, it was out of no where) he's got an injury that will cost him a few games?

BS.

what are you talking about?

If there is a trade brewing it makes sense that the other players would also be out with injury

so who else is out

I clearly misunderstood, my mistake. I thought I caught some sarcasm in that comment.
