Okur for Tayshaun Prince

We need to shake up our frontcourt and moving Okur opens up more time for Fes and Koufos. I'd rather trade Boozer and move Okur to the 4 but I don't think this trade would work with Booze. Prince plays solid defense, is a veteran presence, and can provide leadership while on the court. We'd have a logjam on the wings when Miles and Korver get back but it seems like it'd be worth it.

I agree you do nothing will be a disaster as this team simply doesnt like each other (more like other players dont like Boozer) and doesnt play any D. Prince would be a welcome addition. I would keep Okur and I doubt Detroit would be willing to take on Okur's newky signed long term contract.

Might as well trade the player that doesnt want to be here in Boozer, but sine his trade value is low would likely have to add pieces for a deal to happen.

Boozer, Harpring, Korver, Kosta, and Brewer

for

Hamilton, Prince and Kwame

Jazz get 2 solid veteran wing players with championship experience to play along side DWill.
Jazz also save on luxury tax year but do take on contracts for the next couple of years.

Detroit frees up cap space to sign Bosh, Lebron, Wade or other free agent in summer. They also get Boozer to help their current lack of bigs while getting developing Kosta.

Jazz lineup:

PG Williams Price Maynor
SG Hamilton Miles Price
C Memo Fess Kwame
PF Millsap Ak-47
Sf Prince Ak-47 Miles Matthews

^ If you're going to take on salary for Booz, why not just do Carlos for Rip? Don't want to lose Brewer, and CJ could use Hamilton's veteran tutelage. If we are just patient, I have the feeling a number of intriguing possibilities will present themselves as we near the deadline.

I say we keep Okur- Booze as an expiring will fetch more, and Memo's clutchness would be sorely missed. Boozer is gone next season, if Okur is gone too we will be acutely lacking skilled veteran bigs.

Prince and AK are too similar so play together, and personally I would rather keep Andrei around. I think we really need a solid SG and Hamilton is the epitome of the perfect Jazz guard, as long as we insist on sticking to the system we have. I would be for a Boozer-Hamilton trade, since I would hate to lose Memo.

I don't think this would make us a championship team this year or next year, but with the development of Koufos/Fes and the selection of a solid PF w/ the Knicks pick, we could be on our way.

Prince has a better shot and more playoff experience than AK but I see where you're coming from. Detroit needs a solid center and would get just that in Okur and figured we could help each other out. However, kamazilla makes a good point.
