Demar Derozan

Postby Everstealth on Wed Nov 04, 2009 8:44 pm

So far, I've liked what the kid has to offer.

In the preseason he really showed an ability to get into the paint and draw fouls.

What I like about him in the season is that hes not forcing anything at all, he does his job (ie. today, he got an offensive rebound could have drived between 2 defenders, but brings it back out.)

When he gets more used to the offense and the players he will be more aggressive and he can develop into a real player.

His work ethic is just another bonus: ad Kevin Durant said.. Hard work overcomes talent, when talent doesnt work hard.

What do you guys think.

I compiled a mix to show you guys his major highlights so far this season, what do you guys think?

@ 1:08-1:09, you need to clean up an edit, shows you ripped that video clean from the raptor video player. Other than though, it was neat and cool to see our own rookie grow up.

D-Roz has shown plenty of talent.

Even in this game where hist shot was not dropping he was still attacking.

What I like is that he seems to be very coachable and will get better as he gets more comfortable with the team.

I can see him being a main cog for this team this year.

i agree with kevin durant, and it shows everyday in the nba, every nba player has alot of talent, but its the ones that work hard that are the superstars.

Fun to watch on O but man.. Ben Gordon schooled his ass today. Little Ben Made him look like the young buck that he is.

Hopefully he's a good at learning from his mistakes.

he's got hops, but does not seem like he can palm the ball, thats going to hurt his dunking abilities.
Bell: So, did you get to watch the raptors game tonight?
Rogers: Nope, apparently 75% of Torontonians can't, its on your TSN2!!!
MLSE: Screw bell and rogers,. The games are not available, fans have no choice but to come watch us live!!!!

I'm fine with DeRozan coming off the bench and play some minutes with Jack.

D-Roz is playing good team ball right now.

He is not forcing his game and taking bad shots.

He waits for his chances and usually comes through when he gets them.

He really needs to take more shots but I know when he gets more comfortable his chances will come and he will prove why he should start.

Always agreed with the sentiment of not throwing him to the wolves against starting sgs. To boost his confidence, one would think having him go against bench players would allow him more opportunity to work his stuff on the offensive end. Either way, he still shows a lot of poise - as well as a bit of a mean streak, which is always a nice thing.
I appreciate teams that win.

the guy always catches alley oops with one hand. in preseason (or SL) i think he did so with his left. arm length is a bit of a concern but hand size?
