three point differential

Postby sweetlou23 on Thu Nov 05, 2009 7:15 am

we need to start taking and making some threes as well as defending the three point line better. kapano, speights and smith all have three point range. but none of them start and kapano has been our only go to three point option. we cannot compete while trading threes for twos. we seem to hesitate from beyond the arc while everyone else looks to shoot threes against us. we have the reputation of being a poor three point defending and shooting team. every team in the nba is going to try to rain threes on us, because it will usually work in their favor just like it did last year.

Speights isn't a 3 point shooter, Smith can't be relied upon, and Kapono isn't the guy to be worried about. We need Lou, Thad, and Iguodala to step up in this department.

Speights has that range. we just haven't seen it because we have him focusing on other things. smith simply has not had the playing time to show it. I agree that iggy thad and lou need to step up in this department but we need to give them the freedom to take the three. the sixers alway seem to be measuring their shots rather than just doing things in rhythm. lou does a very good job of diving and kicking but the we have no one out there setting up to take the three except kapano who isn't open enough and thad who forgot how to shoot. we need to incorporate threes into our offense. lou and iggy also need to feel free to take open threes.

this team seriously has 1 3 point shooter...and thats Kapono.

the rest of the teams "shooters" are average at best.
