Are they doing a GOOD job or a BAD job? Pick one.

Wark sucks balls. We should fire him and every other team in the league should try to sign him, because he is from your hometown.

I can't believe my consecutive thread starting streak ended on something so random.

Yeah, the front office is good. They refrain from signing bigger name guys who suck, and are content to sign under-the-radar guys who fit the team. At least post-AI.

Wark isn't going anywhere. Not sure why you think he's available for a team like the Knicks.

Since the Iverson deal they are doing good job. Compare to other teams signed big names we are doing great.

Billups is the real leader.

eeh crazy Smith. Lebron is destined to never win a championship :) if that happened we'd somehow end up with Bosh (forced trade), T-Mac (MLE), and Ray Allen (LLE to wint title) next year.

Nene
Bosh
Melo
Tmac
Billups

JR Smith, Ray Allen, Lawson, Balkman, Birdman, Craig Brackins :), Petro

suck it LOL

Management picking up Billups was such a good move that most fans should forgive them if they made 5 bad moves afterwards. That's how helpful Billups has been.

I'd have to agree. These guys are good at not pulling the plug and building a team. Not sure this would happen with all pieces forever?

I would have to say they seem reluctant to add mid season, when say we need a bruiser down low to back up the bigs. Some pieces are held onto too long far after they have proven they will not contribute to the team....but there is something intriguing about keeping the players chosen from camp all season. They allow that comraderie to build.

Acquiring Billups, then Afflalo and then Lawson (I doubted him a bit, but he proved me hell wrong).

I also actually agree with "acquire role players instead of star players" approach this summer... it really makes us solid. Afflalo may be a 3rd year player, but guy plays with no non-sense attitude, seriousness and respect for the game that it cannot not be contagious to others... Lawson's freshness really rejuvenates the team (both players and coaching staff equally) trying to get back to the same level achieved last season...

Only one thing I still wonder aloud, when the hell will they pick up a big seven footer who can rebound and box out...? KMart is nursing injuries and his injury puts us on thin ice, any moment he could go down, and even if he doesn't, smart thing is to pick one up and allow KMart to rest some games to fully heal up.

I agree, and I think alot of people on this board do was well. But the question I keep asking is who? Seriously, who is out that that we could reasonably acquire that would help shore up our front court depth. And who would you be willing to give up?

Personally, I just don't see that many legitimate options. Partially because I am unwilling to part with half the team (Melo, Billups, JR, Nene, Lawson, AA, Bird) and the ones I would part with won't bring back anything of value (AC, Petro, Balkman, Grahm, Allen).

That pretty much means we would have to trade some combination of K-Mart/picks/TPE/Filler to bring in a legit big man. If you trade K-Mart, you still have the same depth issues that we have now. If you trade the TPE you would be getting back a low paid player (which means they are young and wont be traded or old and not worth trading for).

Its easy to say go fill this hole or that one, but its a lot harder to actually make something happen. I thought we should have drafted Blair (and I still do), he was avaialbe would have been a cheap option and would fill a huge hole. But we didn't, and there just aren't that many 7 footers available out there who can contribute to championship caliber team, and even less when you look at what we would be willing to give up to acquire them.

So, if you have some ideas, lets hear them. Otherwise, I don't see the point in criticizing the FO for not brining in some phantom 7 footer that will help the Nuggets, yet somehow another team is willing to basically give away for scraps.

So force Petro to play better ball under the hoop. Since we're stuck with the ones we have, take Petro and at least find a way to teach him a little more poise.

When we had Geico at least our extra big got in there and saved Nene and Kenyon for stretches.

I know Petro's game looked ugly, but he's got the right body type. Give him some boxout situations and work him in there to do a specific job.....a hell of a lot better than just wasting a roster spot.

I know you can't teach nasty, but dude doesn't get any playing time as it is - make it a trade off for him, if he can get nasty down low and rip down boards and get a body on some of these bigs, he gets more playing time.

I'm just saying if we're not willing to part with anyone of value let's add value to what we all ready got. Maybe we can go the route of a rebounding teacher - someone who can relate the subject to the team as a whole. It's not a roster spot and we get to use the guys we have.

I know it would be next to impossible to convince a guy like this to take up that task, but at least there's an interest in coaching.....
