Brandon Roy More than a Game Interview

Postby MrSimCity on Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:11 pm

Nice write up on w/ B-Roy I thought you Blazers fans might like. He speaks on this season's outlook, NBA 10 cover and being a leader...

The biggest thing is I try to first lead by example. I’m not the type to put guys on blast. I’ll pull guys to the side and talk to them quietly or when we’re in practice. I’m not a guy who’s big on yelling when the camera's around. I don’t want to show anybody up. So my way of leading is first by example and then talking to guys one-on-one and just trying to build guys' confidence ... let them know we need them to do what they do so we can try to win these games.

His personality shines through this interview, seems like a great guy

Thanks for the kind words, and the link. Good find.
"That's the first time in my career, while I was on the floor, someone had 40 points," Artest said in reference to Brandon Roy dropping 42 points. "That's in 10 years in the NBA, probably in my whole life."
