11/7/09--Charlotte Bobcats @ Chicago Bulls--7PM CST (WGN US)

This is somewhat early, but oh well. Sue me. As we won again, I want to keep my little streak of game threads going!

First WGN broadcast of the year, yay for superstation. All you non-Chicagoans will get a chance to watch yet another nationally televised Bulls game.

Charlotte:

Coach - Larry Brown

PG - Raymond Felton
SG - Raja Bell
SF - Gerald Wallace
PF - Boris Diaw
C - Tyson!

Chicago:

Coach - VDN

PG - Rose
SG - Salmons
SF - Deng
PF - Taj, i guess?
C - Noah

Both teams coming off impressive victories, the Bulls beating the Cavs and the Bobcats routing the so-far-so-good Atlanta Hawks team. The Bobcats have been re-energized after getting Raja Bell back from injury and are 2-0 since his return, with him working out the kinks in a ho-hum victory against the Nets, but busting out for 24 against the Hawks.

Another player to keep an eye on is 2nd year player DJ Augustin. Last year, every time he faced against Derrick Rose, he gave him fits and torched him. After putting up a clunker in the first game of the year against the Celtics, he has averaged 16 PPG and is shooting 46% from the field, off the bench. Last year, he and Felton held Rose to only 13 PPG and 6 assists, on 37% shooting, while he averaged 17 PPG and 7 assists on 43% shooting when matched up against Rose last year.

I initially predicted the Bulls would win this one with ease, but it seems that Raja Bell's return has cured the Bobcats of their ills. As usual, they are a team that shouldn't be underestimated, as they managed to knock off the Bulls several times last year. The Bulls will have to work for a win here, which certainly isn't a given. If they can limit Bell and Gerald Wallace, they should be OK.

I hate the Bulls front office.
I will always miss Ben Gordon being on the Bulls.
Tyrus Thomas will explode in 2010 - REVISED: Actually, sorry - in 2011, with another team.
Bulls record prediction: 50-32

Still, the Bobcats don't have a Brandon Jennings

nor Chris Paul. Very Ouch for Tyson.

Another potential matchup for Tyrus to have a huge game. We will see if Del Negro gives him a chance.

I hope don't play down to the level of the Bobcats like they did against Milwaukee.

Why would this be an "easy win"?????

Nothing is easy with this team.

Check out the game thread on Charlotte's Board. Well, just the initial panel.

Reports that I read say that Brown is unhappy with Tyson's attitude & conditioning. There is a discussion on the Knick Forum. Of course, their desire is to trade Curry for him.

Bulls win score 81-70 in one of the boringest games of all time.

That was my thought. Charlotte is going to slow this game down to a snails pace, and with our trouble scoring there is no way either team gets close to 100.

*Prepares to see this post quoted when one team blows the other out with a double digit win and a score in the 120's.

Really? Where have there been reports that LB isn't happy with TC's attitude? LB has no doubt mentioned conditioning on both Boris & TC...but he's also said he expected it, esp. in TC's case.

I know Bulls like to play upto their competition and play ugly but somehow I feel that we will crack 100+ and also crack over 42% shooting for the first time this season (46% to be exact).

Hopefully the good defense continues.

I want a WIN no matter what but I will be disappointed if we don't blow this team out.
