It was clear to me after having watched the entire Bucks-Bulls game, that even though Milwaukee's effort was pretty solid from start to finish, and in particular phenomenal in the first half, Chicago had more talent, so they persevered in the end. However, I feel the Bucks played better if you take out the shooting percentages. The Bulls looked stunned in the first half as the Bucks just picked them apart. In the second, both teams played hard, but Chicago got hot, and that was the main reason they came back, in addition to Milwaukee having no perimeter offense. The only poor aspect of the game that is eminently fixable were the last couple of shots, which were questionable at best. I still view it as a good sign that this team seemed to want to take the game by the throat, and indeed almost did. When we were up 18, I sensed we needed only a couple of consecutive baskets to put the game out of reach. I was so intense during the game, because I had a sense even when we were up 15 or 18 that we had no chance of absolutely running away with the game, and it is a shame that not only was that notion correct, but we lost the game. If we play with that same defensive effort tonight, we should win, because the Timberwolves don't have the talent the Bulls have, and we should make a higher percentage of shots than we did on Tuesday.
