No, that wasn’t confidence. I don’t know what that was. Chris did an interesting thing. I think he thought that he got under Rondo’s skin during the game so he tried to continue it during the game. It was a learning less for Rajon. After the game he even said, ‘I can’t let talk affect my play.’ And it did in that game. That’s what players do. They think they can get you in any way, they’ll do it. Chris Paul did it.

Everyone is portraying Rondo as the antagonist, but it sounds like he was responding to what Chris Paul was doing.

Which is fine. I told him, it’s a competition, and it’s great to play in great competition, but once the game is over then the competition is over and you let it go. I thought during the game it was more Paul. That’s part of competition. But once the game is over, you let it go. You shake the guys hand and say we’ll get you again.

If you know anything about Doc as a coach and how he has treated Rondo, what you say doesn't fly. Doc has called out Rondo constantly when he thought Rondo was wrong. In the press and in public. Even in this instance, he said, Rondo was wrong for letting Paul get to him.

Lots of players on the Celtics "mouth off". KG, Wallace, Perkins and Pierce all "chirp" on the court, but Rondo HAS NOT been on of them. Rondo lets his play speak for him.

Paul was the instigator. Rondo's problem as Doc said was letting Paul get under his skin.

Actually Doc is pretty much a strait shooter. He calls it like he sees it. Chris Paul also has a history of his own. So He certainly isn't better than that.

You can go back to the magic board wishing all the Celtics players gets injured. Real classy bunch over there on the Magic board. Don't throw rocks when you live in a glass house.

In all honesty having seen the game I think it was pretty clear Rondo was the instigator. The alleged comments he made stick pretty well with what is well known about Rondo and his ego.

I agree the comments lit the fuse. But Rondo made those comments to his best friend. Not to a member of the media. Perkins was the one who mentioned it to a media member. So, Its not like Rondo went out of his way to insult Paul. Big Difference

And now Amare's mouthing off about Perk for no reason at all. I think other young guys in the league are jealous of the situation that Perk and Rondo have. Tough for them!
