Walsh: Curry looks totally different

Postby J-J Connection on Sat Nov 07, 2009 12:17 am

Via Hahn:

Donnie Walsh before the game said he is expecting Eddy Curry back on the court "pretty soon now."

It seems most likely that Curry will be reincorporated during a four-day break between games following the Nov. 13 game against the Warriors. Walsh raved about what he saw when he evaluated Curry on Thursday. "When you see him, he's totally different," Walsh said.

How much weight has he lost? "A lot," he said.

It may sound as if Walsh is merely trying to promote nothing but positives about a player he'll likely try to trade to clear cap space, but a few other people I spoke with who have seen Curry say Walsh isn't embellishing.

We'll see.

I hope Walsh knows Curry will take a physical before the trade is accepted.

All you Laker and Celtic fans may be proud with all your championships you won but us New York fans have a little team we like to call the Yankees that have "almost"doubled you in championships.

He probably lost 5 more lbs at best. Gosh WALSHED UP is looking rather foolish with the stuff he's been saying lately.

if Curry was just on a diet of Figs, apricots, Cellery, spinach, poached chicken breast/thigh, and Kale he would lose so much weight. It really is so simple, especially when you are a pro athlete, F him. If he still has titties you might as well just make him wear a push-up bra, maybe the titties will help attract Lebron.

I did tell you guys last week that you would start to hear alot of Eddy this and Eddy that. They are actively looking to trade him as I stated last week and the destination will be either Minnesota for Jefferson & The rights to Rubio (Al Jefferson has 3 years on his deal left) Knicks only take that on IF Minny takes Jefferies as well. Another landing spot could very well be Houston for T-Mac.

But like I said, you will begin to hear encouraging reports on Eddy and Jordan Hill will begin to play more and more. Playing Hill last night was just a showcase peek, notice he was matched up against Varajeo alot, the two are similar, though Hill has a better offensive skillset.

Back to Eddy though, Walsh is looking for a low-post player, a guy who can play with his back to the basket and pass out of that double team, while Eddy is ill-equipped to pass, the idea is to put a shooter (Gallo) as the primary post feeder, Gallo would be an easy kick back out and is so willing a passer he would swing it to the weak side for open shots. Eddy has no future here, but he has value and Walsh will find a taker.

Eddy will be dealt, Minnesota is the destination Walsh would like it to be.

I understand why Walsh is saying that, because he's the GM, but none of us are dumb. I doubt Eddy has changed one bit and I don't think he is close to game shape whatsoever. UNLESS they built an over-sized hamster wheel for Eddy to keep running 24/7, I really wouldn't believe anything said about Curry until I see it.

I just hope that Eddy can rejoin the team and play. He needs to get out there and play 35 minutes a game and then be traded for anything expiring.
