OT: Lawson dunks on the Lakers

I wonder if he would be putting up Brandon Jenning type stats if he was starting.

Feel free to merge with game discussion thread mods but I think this nasty dunk deserves its own thread.

LittleOzzy: Nope, I'm happy with Calderon as our starting PG. Billups would just create a situation like last season.

Great dunk given the size difference. However, Mbenga in some way, still retained an ounce of dignity by not rolling backwards and nearly eating his own schlong.

What's up with Andrew Bynum. Both times Mbenga got dunked on by Griffin and now Lawson, and he's laughing at him on the bench. Not being a great teammate there.

Nice dunk but I prefer the Wade dunk on the Cavs.

Lawson's been really impressive, but he's also more polished than the rookie pg's and isn't asked to do too much. He gets a lot of open looks and driving lanes based on the weapons Denver has.

It's pretty incredible what Evans and Jennings have been able to do so far, considering their limited experience and who they have to work with. IMO, it's the difference between a star and a starter.

Lawson's been exceptional, scoring at over 60% TS while making only 1.8 turnovers against 5.1 assists per 36 minutes.(for comparison, Jennings is at 3.7 and Evans is at 2.6) Considering his spectacular college numbers and his somewhat advanced age it was expected he'd be solid, but he actually exceeded my expectations. Denver did well to get him to back up Billups.
