Blair really is dropping. Come on, Otis! Get a pick now!

RealGM Deputy EditorAndrew Perna - 10:29 pm

There are a host of solid players available in the second round of what was supposed to be a weak draft. Go figure.

Join the Discussionkosmovitelli - 10:22 pm

True, he's a twinner but he can shoot and he plays defense. Not that bad. Let's trade for a second round pick and grab Danny Green now !

Join the DiscussionStutterStep - 10:21 pm

A decent pick. I would have rather gone for a SG with size... The goal is to convert Douglas to PG and watch him be better (in 2 years) than all the PGs drafted. That's the goal. If we use him as Eddie House, I will be pissed!

Join the DiscussionKnicksGod - 10:19 pm

These idiots booing every player the Knicks draft don't speak for all Knick fans. Same people who carried on about Gallo and then MSG fell in love with him. They just want to be heard on TV, and that's about it. Means nothing and it's unfortunate that Jordan's first exposure to his home crowd are these low-lifes who are supposedly the most knowledgeable fans in the country.

I read stupid Sam's mock draft and called it a complete joke because he had us taking Taj Gibson with this pick...wow...I'm totally crushed...

Join the Discussionwizkid27 - 10:00 pm

Nice. Snagging Mullens with essentially our #25 pick (I would guess we'll just give Dallas some cash or something) is great. This makes that trade where we would give PHO their 2010 1st back in order to take Mullens at 14 even MORE rediculous. Great draft by the Thunder. Couldn't have asked for more from my point of view!

Join the Discussionmait - 09:54 pm

I feel that BJ Mullens is very solid pick and has potetial to be steal!

I WAS RIGHT!!!! ERIC MAYNOR!!! KOC: "We traded the pick...just kidding, we took Maynor."

Join the DiscussionHoopsGuru25 - 09:29 pm

Taking some time to calm down...I think Sund did the right thing and made a solid pick. Anyone else surprised Sund didn't try to make the same trade for Minny's 18 and get Mullens and Lawson/Teague?

Join the Discussioneathy - 09:27 pm

traded Bobcats pick for him. good move... it means no more AC i guess. All we need to do is draft Danny Green with #34

Join the Discussionrevprodeji - 09:25 pm

http://cbs4denver.com/sports/Nuggets.Tr ... 57340.html where Charlotte would retain it if it's in the top 12 in 2010, top 10 in 2011, top eight in 2012 and top three in 2013. Charlotte would have no protection for the pick in 2014. Next year is a nice draft, could be a very good pick.

Join the Discussionrevprodeji - 09:24 pm

ty lawson? There has to be a trade.

Join the DiscussionSlacktard - 09:21 pm

I said before I'm not a big Jennings fan, but if he was there I thought the Sixers should take him over Lawson or Maynor. It's the same situation for Holiday. Listen... The way the Sixers roster and salaries are they need to GET LUCKY with this pick and get a guy who could turn into a really good PG. Lawson and Maynor are much safer picks. Lawson and Maynor could both turn out to be better NBA players then Jennings or Holiday if either of them bust. But Jennings and Holiday have a lot more upside then either of those players.

Join the DiscussionBuffaloBull - 09:16 pm

Johnson's an hombre. He knows how to use/move into space and has great body control. Basically, if you give him the ball in the same spots Ty's been getting it in our O, he's going to be dangerous, especially if he refines his J.

Join the Discussioncoordinator0 - 09:09 pm

Sweet, it's not Mullens but I would have liked Holiday better. Oh well, Daye it is!

RealGM Deputy EditorAndrew Perna - 09:02 pm

I sure hope the Pacers don't regret not taking Blair.

Join the DiscussionCash - 09:00 pm

Clark = solid pick. Could bust, but a solid chance he's a solid role player for us. I love the fact that someone else's pick is on stage right now.

Join the DiscussionScoot McGroot - 08:58 pm

Solid guy next to Hibbert, hard worker. With a guy like him here, I think that means that Foster could be moved for a late pick now, since we have our new practice warrior. I really think you'll see Indy pick up another 1st rounder and get Maynor or Teague a bit later in this draft. There's still a ton of PG's left, but not a whole lot of PF's. There's still Lawson, Maynor, Teague, Mills, etc. all out there, with a guy like Mills possibly available in the 2nd round. We'll be ok.

Join the DiscussionHawthorneWingo - 08:27 pm

Going big at 8, and not landing Sergio, means PG at 29?

Join the Discussionheretic - 08:24 pm

The fact that they hold this Draft in New York every year, and that every year we get pretty mediocre players is proof that we're the team everybody loves. Channing Frye 2.0. Here we go.

Minnesota has to be trading either Flynn or Rubio.

With the first pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers select Blake Griffin from Oklahoma University.

Join the Discussionthanumba2clippersfan - 07:20 pm

The current poll has 84% say that Blake should run and that 16% say he shouldn't. I guess the 16% are Clipper fans or those who don't believe anything bad will happen.

RealGM Deputy EditorAndrew Perna - 07:10 pm

Hugo wrote me an e-mail requesting something on the Shaq-to-Cleveland trade. He wants me take, and here is the short answer: They aren't much closer to a title. It's a low-risk move for the Cavaliers with his expiring deal, but they need to make another move. The final piece hasn't arrived in Cleveland yet. It's big news because he's a first-ballot Hall of Fame, but more needs to be done.

RealGM Deputy EditorAndrew Perna - 06:41 pm

Hey guys. I'm set up at the WaMu Theater at MSG in New York City. E-mail me (Andrew.Perna@RealGM.com) with any questions about what might, or might not, be going on.

i have no idea how to react to this. I just came home and found out. Wow. I hate to see Courtney go, but Vince is a go to guy at the end of games who can create for others and get his own shot. He's clutch and our offense will be RIDICULOUSLY unstoppable, especially if we keep Hedo. I mean Meer, Vince, Hedo, Rashard, and Dwight? HOLY SHNIKES!

Join the DiscussionThe Effect - 05:19 pm

I HATED this when i saw it, but after thinking about,i think its a very good trade if we do get Ryan Anderson in the deal. He is a perfect fit for us, and is a very young good big man who has 3 point range

I understand this is not exactly breaking news or anything, but an article posted this morning stated the Kings are favoring Evans over Rubio...call it a smokescreen all you want, but I think it's for real. Join the Discussionslick_watts - 03:39 pm

i'd want to see a rubio/westbrook backcourt just for the novelty of it. these guys are like opposite ends of the spectrum, who knows maybe they could really complement each other. harden's probably the pick but rubio would be such an interesting selection. i almost want it to happen just for that reason.

Join the Discussiontlifeset - 03:35 pm

No matter what you should hear Ricky Rubio's name called. He's an asset that can be traded ... even in a deal for Thabeet if that's the player Wallace really wants. He needs to maximize the value of the #2 pick. Here's what i'm hoping for: #2 and Gay for #5, #6 and Brewer.
