The Giants have suspended Plaxico Burress for four games in the wake of his accidental shooting. That means he is done for the regular season, but I think it’s doubtful that he’ll return to the gridiron for New York in the playoffs. Sadly for the rest of the NFC East, they don’t need him.
Giants' receiver Steve Smith was robbed at gunpoint last week when a men put a gun to his head and took his wallet and jewelry. Thankfully, Smith emerged from the incident without harm, but damage was undoubtedly done. I just hope this doesn’t lead more players to carry weapons.
