The 2009 NBA Draft is just hours away and the picture has shifted drastically since my last consensus was compiled on Tuesday morning.

It's said every June, but this year's draft is truly a mystery. It should make for a fun night in New York City, but the uncertainty has almost everyone involved in the process on edge.

For an inside look at what when on during Wednesday's Media Day read this: Winds Blowing Through NBA Draft Media Day.

Also, please check out Christopher Reina's annual 13 Questions And Draft Big Board.

Reina compiles one of the most respected mock drafts on the internet each year, and has updated his 2009 mock more than a dozen times in recent weeks.

I have compiled a consensus NBA mock draft using three of our favorite mocks (in addition to Reina's) -- DraftExpress.com, NBADraft.net and ESPN.com.

I did something very similar in the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, and it was a good barometer of how things turned out in late April: Who Soared And Who Plummeted?

We calculate our consensus ranking list differently than most, awarding players with "points" each time they appear in a mock. For example, Chris Reina has Blake Griffin as the first pick in his last mock, which means we'll give the former Oklahoma stud 30 points.

Hasheem Thabeet shows up second, so he'll receive 29 points. Ricky Rubio takes the third spot, meaning he'll earn 28 points ... and so on.

As I did last time, I've graced the mock with some comments!

The Consensus 2009 NBA Mock Draft

1. L.A. Clippers : Blake Griffin, PF, Oklahoma
2. Memphis Grizzlies : Hasheem Thabeet, C, UCONN
3. Oklahoma City Thunder: Ricky Rubio, PG, DKV Joventut

Thabeet and Rubio have flip-flopped since Tuesday's edition. I expect them to swap places at least a few dozen more times within the next ten hours.

4. Sacramento Kings : James Harden, SG, Arizona State
5. Minnesota Timberwolves : Stephen Curry, G, Davidson
6. Minnesota Timberwolves : Jonny Flynn, PG, Syracuse

What Minnesota does with these back-to-back picks is going to vastly alter the remainder of the first round. Going guard-guard would probably have the least effect.

7. Golden State Warriors : Tyreke Evans, G, Memphis
8. New York Knicks : Jordan Hill, PF, Arizona

Hill answered questions about the Knicks in customary fashion on Wednesday, so he'd undoubtedly be "very excited" to play in New York.

9. Toronto Raptors : DeMar DeRozan, G/F, USC
10. Milwaukee Bucks : Jrue Holiday, G, UCLA
11. New Jersey Nets : Terrence Williams, SG, Louisville

Williams was the most likable player from Wednesday's Media Day. Whether or not his personality has helped his stock remains to be seen.

12. Charlotte Bobcats : Gerald Henderson, SG, Duke
13. Indiana Pacers : James Johnson, PF, Wake Forest
14. Phoenix Suns : Brandon Jennings, PG, Roma

The Pacers need a big man, but Johnson isn't a name I've heard often at the thirteenth slot. I think it would be hard for Larry Bird and David Morway to pass on Jennings if he falls to them.

15. Detroit Pistons : Ty Lawson, PG, North Carolina
16. Chicago Bulls : Earl Clark, F, Louisville
17. Philadelphia 76ers : B.J. Mullens, C, Ohio State

Maybe Ed Stefanski has just been throwing a smoke-screen with all his talk about definitely taking a perimeter player with the 17th pick.

18. Minnesota Timberwolves : DeJuan Blair, PF, Pittsburgh
19. Atlanta Hawks : Tyler Hansbrough, PF, North Carolina
20. Utah Jazz : Jeff Teague, PG, Wake Forest

I'm tempted to swap the 19th and 20th picks, but this is what the consensus came up with...

21. New Orleans Hornets : Eric Maynor, PG, VCU
22. Portland Trail Blazers : Austin Daye, F, Gonzaga
23. Sacramento Kings : Omri Casspi, SF, Maccavi Tel Aviv

The Hornets would get a pretty solid option next to, and behind, Chris Paul if they were able to take Maynor with the 21st pick.

24. Dallas Mavericks : Sam Young, SF, Pittsburgh
25. Oklahoma City Thunder: Chase Budinger, SF, Arizona
26. Chicago Bulls : DaJaun Summers, SF, Georgetown

Budinger would be an ideal option for the up-and-coming Thunder on the wing. Dare I say, playoffs...

27. Memphis Grizzlies : Taj Gibson, PF, USC
28. Minnesota Timberwolves : Toney Douglas, PG, Florida State
29. L.A. Lakers : Nick Calathes, PG, Florida
30. Cleveland Cavaliers : Jonas Jerebko, SF, Sweden

The follow mocks were used to compile our consensus:

-- Christopher Reina, RealGM (Thursday morning)

-- DraftExpress.com (Wednesday Night)

-- NBADraft.net (Wednesday Afternoon)

-- Chad Ford, ESPN (Thursday morning)
