02/05/03: The Pistons signed Danny Manning to a 10-day contract.
06/24/02: The Mavericks waived Danny Manning. He was bought out for $900,000. That amount will count against the teams' 2002-03 cap.
07/31/01: Danny Manning signed a 2-year, $3.2 million contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
07/01/01: Deseret News reports that Olden Polynice and Danny Manning (Uta) have opted out of their contracts for next year. They are now unrestricted free agents. Utah's John Crotty and John Starks have opted to stay. They are now guaranteed $965,850 and $2,475,000 for 01-02 respectively.
10/23/00: Danny Manning (Uta/Mil). The terms of Manning's buyout by the Bucks were reported by Peter Vecsey. The $6.8M owed to Manning by the Bucks (his remaining salary after the guaranteed contract he signed with Utah has been subtracted) is to be spread out in 8 yearly payments of $850,000. If Manning exercises his player option for next year with Utah, he will be guaranteed an additional $1.32M for 2001-2002. That amount will then be subtracted from the total owed him by Milwaukee (which will be $5.95mil next year) and will be divided by the number of years Milwaukee has left to pay (which will be 7 next year) to determine the new cap hit against Milwaukee (which would work out to be about $661K per year).
