Ron Artest came to the game very excited and with all the intentions to not only win the game but stop Michael Jordan from getting his 30,000th point.

"I wanted to break the scoreboard when he scored his 30,000th point on me," said Artest, who fractured Jordan's ribs in pickup play last summer. "He got most of his points against Larry Bird and guys like that, but his 30,000th happened on me. At least he worked for it.”

Charles Oakley and other Bulls players were questioning calls. "He's always going to get calls," said Charles Oakley, who had 12 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. "He's Michael Jordan."
