The Raptors aren't sure what the moral of this story is. As they ponder whether to shake up their roster this season, the Raptors got a look last night at one of the victims of last season's shakeup. Forward Corliss (Big Nasty) Williamson has been trying to rediscover his game with the Detroit Pistons, who acquired him from the Raptors last February along with Kornel David, Tyrone Corbin and a draft pick for Jerome Williams and Eric Montross. "When I'm playing well, it just means I'm being aggressive instead of passive," said the 6-foot-7 Williamson, who was averaging 13.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 21.2 minutes per game. "A lot of that is a credit to the coaches, who have given me the freedom to be aggressive." Williamson, 28, has been solid, if not spectacular for the Pistons, his sub-par shooting game last night (3-for-11 from the field, 11 points) not withstanding. He has moved in and out of the starting lineup, but coach Rick Carlisle has lauded Williamson's professional attitude. |
