The Associated Press reports: LeBron James, the soon to be number one pick in the NBA draft, put on a show for the record crowd of 18,728 Wednesday night.

James dazzled one and all with spectacular passing and spectacular finishes as his eastern teammates and he defeated the western stars 122-107.

James, who scored 27 points while dishing out seven assists and grabbing seven rebounds, got a standing ovation as he recieved the MVP trophy from coaching legend John Wooden.

The game was James' last as a high school player, but James was not thinking about the end of his career, he was more interested in celebrating.

"I'm not even thinking about the next All-Star Game," he said with a smile, when asked if he were already preparing for the NBA. "I'm just trying to have fun with my teammates and enjoy this latest victory."

The fans, though, were not the only ones who left the game impressed, some of his fellow teammates and opponents had high praise for him as well.

"He has such a big effect on the game," the West's J.R. Giddens said. "He's not only a scorer, but he's a passer. ... Some of the players that guard him have so much respect for him. It seems like they never played 'D' before because they're, like, 'Hey, that's LeBron!'"

So is he ready to go pro?

"LeBron's definitely ready to go pro," said Villanueva, who has verbally committed to Illinois but is also considering jumping to the NBA. "He's an unselfish player. He loves to pass the ball. He loves to get his teammates involved -- and I like that about him."

James is expected to enter the NBA draft, but has yet to fully commit to what many believe is just a formality.

When asked about what he would do next James responded, "I really don't know. God will lead me in the best direction and I will follow his footsteps. Who knows where I may be? I just take one step by one step because you're not promised tomorrow."

While all the praise and hype has come in droves, the game still left some room for improvement. James struggled with his outside shot, going 0-5 from 3 point range, scoring most of his points on breakaway dunks- including a monster, double pump reverse jam that had him taking off from one side of the basket and landing on the other.

Many of the opposing players attacked James on the defensive end of the floor. Many saw it as a challenge to step up to the best and they found out why he is considered the best.

"He's been hyped up so much I think he has the right game and the right attitude to go pro right now," said East teammate Andrew Lavender, who is headed to Oklahoma. "He's the best (high school) player in the nation. He's probably better than everybody in college too."
