Injured Nuggets draftee Sani Becirovic departed from a two-week visit with the team in Denver late last week. The Nuggets drafted the Slovenian guard with the 46th pick in the second round of this year's draft. The 6-5, 197-pounder is recovering from surgeries to both knees. Although Becirovic took part in some player workouts in Denver, Vandeweghe said Becirovic was uncertain that he is recovered enough to play overseas next season. The three-time Slovenian all-star and was voted the most valuable player of the 1998 European Junior Championship before being hampered by the injuries.

"He is definitely a few months away from (playing regularly)," Vandeweghe said. "We're hopeful he will play in summer league next year."
