As the Pistons’ 41-year-old president of basketball operations, Dumars has done a miraculous job of rebuilding the franchise into a team on the verge of its first championship since his own playing days.

This Pistons team is built around defense and players other teams did not want. It’s a motley crew that has worked to perfection on the court.

Dumars deserves heaps of credit for putting the pieces together to create a winning chemistry.
