The Timberwolves' injury list features a new addition. Troy Hudson saw a specialist and probably will be out 10 days because of a hip flexor injury, coach Dwane Casey said Wednesday. The season opener is Nov. 2 against Portland. The Wolves can't seem to get their core players healthy at the same time. Marko Jaric returned to practice Tuesday after missing the first four exhibition games with a sprained right ankle. Casey looks on the bright side. "We're lucky we didn't have any injuries during two-a-days," he said. "You wish everybody could be 100 percent. It's not going to happen." The injury gives players such as Lionel Chalmers and Bracey Wright more of an opportunity to make an impression. Wright continues to receive praise from Casey, but it is Chalmers who has done the most to help himself in exhibition appearances Sunday at Detroit and Monday at Chicago. |
