The Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday waived forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili, who has been a major bust since being taken in the lottery in 2002.

Selected fifth overall by the Denver Nuggets, the 7-foot Tskitishvili was counted on to be the next great European player. Instead, he has career averages of 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 172 games, playing with five teams.
