Former Cleveland Cavalier and NBA All-Star Mark Price has quit the South Dragons only five games into the team's debut season in the Australian National Basketball League, the team's official website is reporting. Price was named the team's first ever head coach in what the team considered a major coup.

Australian guard Shane Heal, who also plays for the team, will take up the coaching role for the remainder of the season.

Price said a number of factors had contributed to his decision, including a desire to return to the United States with his family.

Ex-Warrior Todd Fuller, one of the two Dragon’s American imports, has been released, and the club is currently searching for a replacement player.
