The New Jersey Nets have acquired guard/forward Bernard Robinson from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for guard Jeff McInnis and cash considerations, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.
“Bernard can play both guard and forward, is a good defender and will add athleticism and depth off our bench,” said Thorn.
Currently in his third NBA season out of Michigan, Robinson (6’6”/210) was a second round selection (45th overall) of the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2004 NBA Draft. In 118 career games, Robinson has averaged 4.8 ppg and 2.9 rpg in 15.9 mpg. This season, Robinson has appeared in 21 games for the Bobcats, averaging 2.4 ppg and 2.0 rpg.
