Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the team has requested waivers on forward Steven Smith. Smith, a rookie from LaSalle University, averaged 0.6 points and 0.8 rebounds in eight games this season. He played a career-high 12 minutes and scored five points vs. Indiana on Dec. 20, 2006.
