The NBA announced today that Memphis Grizzlies guard Tarence Kinsey was named the NBA’s Western Conference T-Mobile Rookie of the Month for games played in April.

Kinsey, an undrafted free agent, averaged 18.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.63 steals in eight starts for the Grizzlies in April. He scored 20 or more points in four of the team’s eight games in April, finishing the month shooting 47.7% from the field and 82.7% from the free throw line.
