Shavlik Randolph hasn't been completely ready to exercise his basketball skills, but he was more than ready to exercise his contract option with the 76ers.

The 6-10 forward/center, still rehabbing from surgery to repair a fractured and dislocated left ankle, met yesterday's option deadline by sending a letter to president/general manager Billy King.
