The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on forward Clifford Robinson, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.
Robinson averaged 4.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 50 contests this past year, which was 18th NBA campaign, making him the most tenured active player who played the entire 2006-07 season. The UConn product went on to appear in four games for the Nets during the 2007 NBA Playoffs, totaling three points in 20 minutes. In 159 games over two and a half years with the Nets, Robinson averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
