Vassilis Spanoulis hit a three-pointer at the buzzer Sunday to lead Greece over Croatia 81-78 at the European Basketball Championship. Marko Popovic hit two free throws with seven seconds left to even the score at 78, but Spanoulis dribbled the length of the court before sinking a wide open shot from way behind the three-point line. "We didn't lose our concentration when we were down 13 points," said Greece coach Panagiotis Giannakis. "I think this win in this type of game gave my team back ... our desire to do something more." |
