Sacramento Kings forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim will take at least three weeks off to rest his surgically repaired right knee.

The Kings also said Friday that first-round draft pick Spencer Hawes will travel to Seattle on Tuesday to get a second opinion on his sore left knee from his personal physician.

The moves will leave Sacramento without two key big men in its preseason opener Tuesday night against Seattle.
