Kelenna Azubuike made his pro debut Jan. 2 after injury-riddled Golden State called him up from the D-League. He was in the starting lineup the next night, and, six games later, played all 48 minutes when the Warriors and Pacers shuffled their rosters.

So given his first chance at filling the starting void left by Jason Richardson, all Azubuike did was score a game-high 27 points in leading the Warriors past the Lakers 111-110 at the Stan Sheriff Center.

"It was a hell of a showing for a first game," Stephen Jackson said.

The 6-foot-5 guard was outstanding on both ends. He went 9-for-16 from the field, hit from long distance, and showed both a good handle and aggressive play in getting to the foul line 11 times.
