The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on forward Jumaine Jones, Nets' President Rod Thorn announced today.

The 6-8 Jones, who signed with the Nets on October 1, 2007, appeared in three preseason games, averaging 3.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

The Nets' preseason roster now stands at 19.
