Hornets' reserve forward Ryan Bowen will miss at least three weeks with a sprained left knee.

Bowen was hurt during New Orleans' 99-71 loss at Utah on Friday night.

The 6-foot-9, seven-year veteran has averaged 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12 games for the Hornets this season. He has emerged as one of Head Coach Byron Scott's favorite reserves for his hustle on defense.

The Hornets announced Bowen would be out for an extended period on Monday, hours before they were to host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
