While J.J. Redick has asked the Magic to send him somewhere where he can see some court time, Magic GM Otis Smith has responded by saying it is unlikely the sharp shooter will be going anywhere, ESPN is reporting.

Smith says that he knows Redick can play and that he needs to remain patient and his time will come.

"Why would I do that before I've really seen him? So he can do something somewhere else?" Smith said in the Orlando Sentinel. "I think J.J. can play. He has to have patience. It's the worst thing for young guys, having patience. I know. I was that guy [when Smith played in the NBA]."
