Pau Gasol enjoyed a nice debut with the Los Angeles Lakers in the team’s win over the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday night. Gasol posted 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Lakers, who now have a legitimate shot at coming out of the Western Conference. The Cleveland Cavaliers used a 28-21 third quarter advantage to knock off the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, just the ninth loss of the season for the Celtics. LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 33 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 21 points and 10 boards in the victory. Boston shot 56% from the field, but the Cavaliers outrebounded the Celtics by 10 at the Quicken Loans Arena. Ray Allen starred for Boston, posting 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists while Rajon Rondo added 20 points and 7 boards in the loss.

The San Antonio Spurs cruised to a 27-point win over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night after entering halftime tied in Indiana. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists as San Antonio shot 53% from the field. The Spurs also outrebounded the Pacers by eighteen and got 15 points and 7 assists from Manu Ginobili. Troy Murphy posted 15 points and 7 rebounds for the Pacers, who have now lost seven consecutive games.

Antawn Jamison starred for the Wizards in defeat, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Washington turned the ball over nineteen times while getting 18 points and 8 rebounds from Brendan Haywood.

Vince Carter tallied 27 points, and Bostjan Nachbar posted 19 points and 10 boards for the Nets in the loss. Lamar Odom added 14 points and 15 boards for the Lakers in the road victory, and Derek Fisher netted 28 points as Kobe Bryant struggled from the field.
