The Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent center DJ Mbenga for the remainder of the season, according to NBA.com.

Lakers' GM Mitch Kupchak announced the deal on Monday.

Mbenga has played in eight games for Los Angeles this season, having signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the team prior to his recent agreement.
